My portrait work is classically inspired and based on more than twenty-five years of study from the Great Masters of western painting.

With each portrait, I work to bring the subject to life through the skillful handling of composition, color and light. Through an intuitive visual connection, I work to express the character and dignity of each subject.

Since the creation of a portrait is essentially collaborative, I listen carefully to the thoughts expressed by the subject. I incorporate those ideas as fully as possible. The result is a blending of classical principles with a unique contemporary vision.
